IMPERATIVE

Have you ever heard a word that is seldom used, or maybe you hear it for the first time, then suddenly your hear it everywhere...on the street, on TV, or on the radio?  My kids and I have one...Imperative!

Here are some simple definitions of the word:

  Absolutely necessary or urgent
  Expressing a command...
  Indicating power or authority

However you define it, it boils down to this...someone is commanding you to turn their urgent issue into your urgent issue.  Recently I was told that it was imperative that I handle some things.  My first thought was and always will be, "Screw you!"  I believe it is imperative that people stop saying this word to each other.
